Competitions

Throughout the year, we organize competitions for pupils of Pilsen schools. They focus on digital technologies and their use in everyday life or in teaching. Children learn about programming or robots in a fun way, they also learn how to use them and can immediately test and compare their acquired skills with their peers. Participating teachers have the opportunity to show their colleagues that computers, robots, programming or digital technologies have their place in education. At the same time, they improve their qualifications, inspire other teachers and create quality materials for them.

Scratch, kitty!

A competition for pupils of the 1st and 2nd grade of primary school, which aims to arouse pupils' interest in programming and raise awareness of internet safety. There are two categories at each level, art and programming. Pupils create a comic strip on the topic of internet safety. In the art category, they use either traditional techniques (crayons, watercolours, markers, etc.) or computer applications and programmes. In the programming categories, children can use ScratchJr (1st grade) or Scratch (2nd grade).

Animate!

A competition for pupils of the 1st and 2nd grade of primary school. The aim is to raise pupils' interest in a different way of expressing their ideas, attitudes and opinions through digital technologies, and at the same time, to develop their digital literacy. The themes for the 1st and 2nd grade differ, but they have one thing in common - to convey the main idea of the topic through animation in an original, creative, and meaningful way. The choice of video creation tool is optional, we recommend iMovie and Stop Motion Studio.
